son appointments for certain patients. We serve the states of Florida, Maryland, and Oregon and focus on delivering holistic, patient-centered care tailored to individual needs. Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join our team as an independent contractor. This role focuses on providing high-quality psychiatric care to clients ages 8 and older for a variety of mental health concerns.

This flexible position allows for an initial commitment of 4-24 hours per week, with potential growth to 4-5 days per week (8 hours/day) based on performance and patient demand. At least one weekend day per week is required. Performance reviews will be conducted after 90 days to evaluate continued engagement and opportunities for advancement.

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments via telehealth.

· Diagnose and treat a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders.

· Develop and manage individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families.

· Prescribe and manage medications, ensuring compliance and addressing side effects.

· Perform risk assessments and crisis interventions to ensure patient safety.

· Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, psychotherapists, psychologists, and collaborating providers.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.

· Adhere to state-specific telehealth regulations and obtain necessary patient consents.

· Stay current on state-specific prescribing regulations and telehealth laws.

· Participate in ongoing professional development and training.

Compensation

· Initial Appointments: $70 per session (up to 60 minutes).

· Follow-Up Appointments: $25 per session (up to 30 minutes; reduced to 20 minutes for stable clients).

· No-Show Appointments: $15 per occurrence.

· Compensation determined by CPT coding, documentation, and time spent with clients.

Languages

English and Spanish (Required)

Qualifications

Licenses and Credentials

· Active PMHNP-BC license in Florida.

· Unrestricted DEA registration in Florida for controlled substances.

· Willingness to obtain licensure and DEA registration in Maryland and Oregon (practice assistance provided).

· Ability to secure a collaborative practice agreement with a supervising psychiatrist in Florida (if applicable).

Professional Experience

· Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a PMHNP, preferably in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

· Experience treating clients ages 8 and older.

· Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems.

Skills and Competencies

· Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

· Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.

· Knowledge of state-specific telehealth and prescribing regulations in Florida, Maryland, and Oregon.

Preferred Qualifications

· Credentialing with insurance providers accepted by A New Hope Psychiatric Services.

· Experience with diverse populations and pediatric clients.
